Life can get in the way of one's art. It's happened to me, more than once. Do what you gotta do. Bills must be paid, you & yours need food on the table, etc.
Remember: when your life changes--& it will, as no state of existence lasts forever--you can always begin making things again. As long as you're still breathing & your body & mind work, starting over is an option.

It's all good, man. Interests change over time and that's fine. When life gets busy, it's hard to keep up with everything you would want to do, and some interests kinda fall by the wayside in favor of more pressing matters. As for motivation, sometimes the best way to make yourself do something is to just start, and see where it takes you. Hopefully you do find some good inspiration soon; if not, don't sweat it. A true fan would rather have the artist be well than have good art.
